Project Description

To learn more about families receiving aid, family heads who had previously received TANF and had closed their cases in November 1997 were interviewed.

Project duration: Apr 1998 - Sep 1998

Sites studied include New York City, New York

Sample Characteristics and Sites Studied

Random sample of 569 cases from all 6,092 TANF cases that closed in November 1997. First wave of interviews carried out between April 20 and May 10, 1998. Second wave between June 19 and July 14, 1998.
