Project Description
Systems Reform: Managed care demonstration counties will receive fixed amount of funds to serve child welfare families; counties will have flexibility to develop programs and services that will reduce foster care placements, costs, and length of stay in care. Fourteen counties will participate in demonstration. A comparison group of counties has been selected. Major goals are to reduce time in out-of-home placement, reduce placement costs, improve stability for children, and promote adoption.
