Project Description

This is an ethnographic study intended to explore the impact of poverty, social change, and changes in the system of welfare programs on experienced stress levels in parents of children under the age of 11 years, and any possible impact on the parents' behaviors towards their children.

Project duration: Apr 1995 - Nov 1997

Sites studied include Rural New York (specific sites remain confidential to respect privacy)
