Project Description

The goal of the project is to examine the impact of CalWORK's [TANF] on homeless women and their families. Specific focus on the impact of reduced or cut benefits; accessibility of services and the barriers particular to homeless women.

Project duration: Jan 1996 - May 2001

Sites studied include Los Angeles County, California

Sample Characteristics and Sites Studied

35 programs [shelters, food pantries & housing projects] in Los Angeles County.
