Project Description

The project analyzes child care arrangements among low-income families. It explores how children's care patterns change in neighborhoods, how care patterns change in response to increased work by mothers, and how these changes alter how poor children spend their time.

Sites studied include 2 low-income neighborhoods in New York City

Sample Characteristics and Sites Studied

40-50 families using child care.
