Three rounds of surveys were conducted for the primary sample. First survey conducted between Nov 1999 and April 2000. Second survey conducted between Nov 2000 and March 2001. Third round conducted between August 2001 and May 2002. The second round of surveys contained new questions on mental health and domestic violence.
Surveys were conducted using Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI). Some interviews were conducted face to face as part of the field-based surveys efforts.
