Each recipient was also questioned about one randomly selected child in his or her family for this interview. At each follow-up, statistical tests were conducted to insure that the representativeness of the original baseline sample had been maintained. The only measured departure from sample comparability across waves was the disproportionate loss of Vietnamese-speaking respondents at Wave 3.
