To illuminate the effects of welfare reform on low income children and families by monitoring changes in children's and families' utilization of various social programs and their pathways among them.
Program/Policy Description
The study will focus on programs that are currently experiencing substantial changes (namely income assistance, Medicaid, Food Stamps, child protection, child welfare, child support, and social security).
Children of all state program participants 18 months prior to welfare reform and post-reform. All entry and exits during this period of time.
