The research study is funded by the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services to determine what impact that welfare reform has had on homelessness in Georgia. Data developed as a result of the study will be distributed to agencies which provide various types of services for homeless persons. The Department of Family and Children's Services will also use the data to determine what role it will play to prevent and reduce homelessness in Georgia.
