Program/Policy Description Intensive Service Options: The kinship triad (child, parent and kinship caregiver) will receive family support services from teams of Child and Family Services Agency social workers matched with trained collaborative community workers. Children and families in the control group will receive traditional child welfare services only.

Assisted Guardianship: After one year of implementation, DC has the option to implement an assisted guardianship component.

Major goals are to expedite permanency, increase stability, increase child safety, reduce the incidence of CA/N, reduce the number of new foster care placements, and increase child well-being.
