| Program/Policy Description | The project is studying those individuals and families exiting TANF. The study builds on previous work by MPR in Iowa. Tabulations will be conducted across several variables, including urban/rural residence, reason for leaving TANF, and history of TANF receipt. |

| Sample Size and Unit | Administrative data is used to track one-month of individuals leaving TANF for 12 months after exit. A survey of 400 leavers, conducted at 8-11 months after exit, provides additional information about these individuals. |
