Program/Policy Description This project intends to describe the welfare and employment experiences of all families who were on AFDC or TANF from 1991 to 1999 in Illinois. Both the experiences while on income maintenance programs and off income maintenance programs are analyzed. The purpose of the project is to monitor these experiences before, during and after various welfare reform efforts in the state and disseminate that information to a broad, interested audience.
Notes Another report on this project is planned to come out in October. This project funded by the Joyce Foundation.
