| Program/Policy Description |
The Arizona Cash Assistance Entrance Study examines the status of families who apply for the Arizona Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. The study followed first-time TANF applicants for twenty-one months to determine which families did not complete the process and compared them to families who did receive TANF services.

| Execution |
A random sample of both diverted and receiver respondents (1,114 families) were selected for the in-depth follow up survey. Two waves of surveys were completed between November 1999 and September 2000.
