The Comprehensive Needs Assessment of Low Income Families in Louisiana study examines the needs and barriers of the low income families - at and below 200% of the federal poverty line - with a focus on employment, child care, health care, transportation, and housing issues that affect self-sufficiency and family well-being. The project is designed to determine whether or not these families have adequate access to services and programs they need.
The objectives of this study are: 1. To provide policymakers with information on the needs and barriers of low-income families; 2. To develop specific policy recommendations for addressing these needs and barriers. |
